LEGUP is a new grant program launching May 2024. The mission of the Legacy Event Grant Program is to sustain and grow legacy events in the Quincy community that create a strong visitor impact and/or edify quality of life for area residents.

  • Funding will be provided in full from the local Food & Beverage Tax. Grants will be awarded from May 1- April 30 annually, on a first come first served basis, until the $100k grant allotment is used.
  • Events must be held in the city of Quincy. Grant applications need to be submitted at minimum 2 months prior to the event. Grant application requirements include event budget and marketing plan.
  • A scoring matrix will be used based upon number of hotel rooms booked, local vendors, number of visitors, number of days and time of year. The Quincy Area Convention & Visitors Bureau team will review grant applications as they are received.
  • Grants will be awarded in $1,000 – $10,000 increments.
