Come join us for this wonderful family event that benefits the Tri-State Warrior Outreach, supporting unmet needs of area Veterans and their families since 2012.
The 5k route will take participants from Bob Mays Park along the Bill Klingner & Cedar Creek Trails then around the historic grounds of the IL Veterans Home to see extraordinary architecture, peaceful woods, the Deer Park, US Military memorials and go past the inspirational Avenue of Flags. The 10K challenges runners along hills through Sunset Cemetery and the Medal of Honor Memorial then to the end of the Cedar Creek Trail before looping around the IL Veteran’s Home grounds to finish back at Mays Park. See if you can guess where Happy Hill is at the IL Vets Home!
Our 1 mile walk is a sloping loop of Mays Park along the Klingner Trail and along the gravel nature walk. Custom dog tag-style medals for all event finishers. Virtual Race available!
