Blue Lake is best known for the Fine Arts Camp it operates each summer in the state of Michigan.  Since 1969, over 10,000 high school musicians wearing Blue Lake uniforms have visited 650 communities in Europe.  In return, nearly 10,000 members of 550 European bands, orchestras, choirs, and dance groups have come to the United States to perform in communities throughout the Midwest.  While touring Europe, Blue Lake groups stay in private homes with host families and the foreign groups do the same when visiting the United States.  Nearly 1,000 talented young American and European musicians are expected to participate in the 48th annual Blue Lake International Exchange Program during 2015 according to Bill McFarlin, Director of the International Exchange Program.
