The Standing Bear Council of Keokuk, Iowa is holding a Blessing of the Mounds ceremony at Quincy’s Indian Mounds Park. Black Fox Drum of Galesburg, IL will provide musical entertainment. Mike Wiant from Dickson Mounds Museum in Lewiston, IL will give a walking tour of the park, providing the historical and archaeological importance of the mounds.
The event is free and open to the public.
