Christmas in Old Nauvoo, Historic Nauvoo Visitor Center & Sites, 350 N. Main Street, 4:45 p.m. – 9 p.m.
The Warsaw Jazz Band, Warsaw High School choir along with the the Hamilton High School Choir will be performing in the Historic Nauvoo Visitor Center followed by a Christmas tree lighting by Chuck Gilbert, Nauvoo City Councilman, with the Illinois Nauvoo Mission Choir singing “Were You There?” The Warsaw Jazz Band will play at the end of the program.
Horse drawn wagons will take guests to Main Street where there will be a live nativity in the Cultural Hall (315 South Main Street) every 30 minutes. Street carolers will be singing along the streets of Old Nauvoo. Learn about the origins of some Christmas Songs and sing them in the Johnathan Browning Home, Post Office and Print Shop and the Stoddard Tin Shop (all conveniently located on South Main Street near the Cultural Hall).
Refreshments will be served in the Family Living Center (behind the Cultural Hall).
