FRONTIER SETTLEMENT DAY

September 10, 2016

Time:   11 a.m. – 4 p.m.

Location:  Log Cabin Village |  Quinsippi Island | Quincy, IL (located  north of the Quincy Riverfront: turn in All America Park at Front and Cedar and cross the island bridge to Quinsippi Island)

Re-enactors will be depicting activities and life as it was in the 1800’s.  Lincoln will be splitting rails for the village.  Visit with Rev. Asa Turner (Minister of the first church in Quincy, the Lords Barn) portrayed by Paul Schwartzkopf 11 – 2 p.m. There will be live music throughout the day.   A variety of activities including rope making for young and old..

Free Event – Donations appreciated (go toward restoration of the log cabin village).
