The Quincy Art Center is excited to facilitate Art Crawl, an evening of art plus much more on Friday, October 28 from 6 – 10 p.m. Eighteen local venues are participating and each will be featuring local artists and some will offer unique programming and/or entertainment.

The participating venues in Quincy, IL are Quincy Art Center, 605 Gallery, BoodaLu Steakhouse, Cellar 21, The Budding Artist, For Home and Her, Gallery Solaro, Heath Center Art Gallery at JWCC, Gray Gallery at Quincy University, Hy-Vee Market Café & Bar on Broadway, Joe Conover Studio, ONE Restaurant & Bar, Potter & Vaughn, Quincy Museum, Rosewood Custom Framing, and Steven Stoll Studio. The venues in Canton, MO are Fourth Street Warehouse and the Mabee Art Gallery at Culver Stockton College.

The Quincy Art Center will be hosting To the Bone Exhibit in honor of Halloween and the Art Crawl. Featured local artists are Greg Billingsley, Jamie Feramisco, Mary Jo Kattelman, Zachary Meyer, Tim O’Neal, Kevin Riley, and Bill Yates. The QAC’s satellite exhibit space at Hy-Vee’s Market Café & Bar on Broadway will feature the artwork of Bill Beard. A list of all the Art Crawl stops and a map is available at the Art Center, on the Art Crawl Facebook page, or at  Each venue will also have a list and a map of all the stops on Art Crawl as well as a sign at their entrance to identify them as an official stop.

Community partners include GREDF, Quincy Society of Fine Arts, The District, and Quincy Area Convention & Visitors Bureau. The Mission of the Quincy Art Center is to provide opportunities for growth and appreciation of the visual fine arts through exhibitions and programs in our community. Quincy, IL Venues

Heath Center Art Gallery @ John Wood Community College  |  1301 S 48th St.  |  Heath Center Art Gallery will present Patterns of Nature through Nov 4, 2016  featuring 2-D artwork by Amber Smith-Bauer and 3-D artwork by Rebecca Butler.  A reception with refreshments and music will also be enjoyed from 6- 8 p.m.

Hy-Vee Market Café  |  3700 Broadway St.  | The artwork of local artist Bill Beard will be featured at the Market Cafe through January 9, 2017. Beard has been cartooning since he was 5 years old.  He draws caricatures and cartoons for numerous, festivals, events, and organizations. His two daily cartoons are The Adventures of Marty & Turkey and Home Life.

The Budding Artist   |  307 North 36th Street Ste. 108   |  This newly opened shop will feature artists Stan Hilgenbrink, Brandon Gully, and Kayla Lowman during a Halloween Party with themed activities & treats!

Gray Gallery @ Quincy University  | 1800 College Ave  |  Narrative gouache paintings by Michael Onken-Emeritus Professor of Art, Southern Illinois University-Carbondale will be on display through Nov. 12, 2016.

Quincy Museum  | 601 Maine St.  |  At the Quincy Museum, a wonderful display of magazine covers that were done by Quincy artist Neysa McMein will be on view.

Quincy Art Center  |  1515 Jersey St.  |  View three exhibits! Free wine and snacks. ‘To the Bone’ with artists Greg Billingsley, Jamie Feramisco, Mary Jo Kattelman, Zachary Meyer, Tim O’Neal, Kevin Riley, and Bill Yates. Misty Gamble: Abject Reverie and  Fred Jones Retrospective will be on display.

Joe Conover’s Studio  |  412 S 10th St.  |  Explore Joe’s studio to see old work, new work, and the artist in action!

Gallery Solaro  |  905 York St, |  Gallery Solaro will have the Frank Lloyd Wright Wasmuth Portfolio on display.

Steven Stoll Studio |  828 1/2 Maine St. | Steven Stoll will have new relief paintings and ceramics on display in his studio. Snacks provided. The entrance is on the left of the empty storefront.

Rosewood Custom Framing |  729 Hampshire | Visit Rosewoods Custom Framing’s new location at 729 Hampshire and view artwork by Debra Scoggin-Myers, Katie Myers, and Rebecca Butler!  Join us for refreshments and hors d’oeuvres from 6-9.

For Home & Her  |  646 Maine St.  |  The District’s New Business of 2015, mixes new women’s clothing and accessories with antique and vintage furnishings. ‘for home & her’ also offers a revolving selection of locally produced accessories. Current makers include Linda Lucke, Beth Stice, Sarah Harsell, Steve Bohnstedt, Kevin Kewney, April Ruffcorn and Ellen Sophia.

605 Gallery |  605 Hampshire | 605 Gallery will feature, Gargantula, a psychedelic/industrial- styled theme exhibit concerning fringe/taboo elements of sub-cultures. Featured artists will be Evan Miller, Bryant Holliday, Rochelle Sprague, Gordon Smeltser, Will Leffert, Zachary C. Meyer, Keith Andrew, Kent H. Hilgenbrinck, Steve Rees, and Kelsey Strother.

One Restaurant & Bar |  600 Hampshire St  | Check out the rotating exhibit space featuring local and regional artists at ONE! Live music and full menu available!

Potter & Vaughn  |  504 Hampshire St.  |  Frighteningly delicious desserts, witches brew and spook-tacular art are what you’ll find. Jewelry artist Linda Lucke will be showing her work and discussing hot and cold — pieces designed with hot metal, enamel or glass with a cold connect. Steve Bohnstedt also will be on hand share his artistic vision and discuss the pieces he has on display in the shop. Potter & Vaughn — fun stuff for fun people!

Cellar 21  | 119 N. 4th Street |  Cellar 21 is proud to present “Halloween with a touch of Hollywood” featuring the spookier works of pop-artist Dale Loos Jr.  Most of the pieces in this lively Halloween show will focus on the macabre and how it is represented in classic American films!

BoodaLu Steakhouse | 117 Hampshire | Visit the “speak easy” bar upstairs and have a glass of wine or a classic cocktail! While you’re enjoying the beautiful atmosphere, make sure to see artwork by Vince Udry.

Canton, MO Venues

Mabee Art Gallery @ Culver Stockton College  |  1 College Hill  |  View paintings, assemblages, and glass art by alumni Nanci Schrieber-Smith.This gallery will be open from 6 – 9 p.m.

Fourth Street Warehouse  |  112 N 4th St. | Copper, Quilts, Pottery, etc!  Jim’s new hammered copper pieces and new-to-our community artists, Delaney Gundy (pottery), Carolyn Winters (quilting) and Cindy Hansen (pottery) are presenting exciting work.  Cindy will teach a mini-lesson in pottery painting/glazing to the first 12 people (adults or children over 10 years) who join us after 5:30 at $12 per person.
