The Moonlight Ride for Hunger will occur at 8pm on August 10th from Clat Adams Park on Quincy’s Riverfront. Front & Broadway Streets.
Three different routes and rides consist of a 4 mile, 11 mile and 19 mile ride for experienced riders. Every rider is required to wear a helmet and have the proper equipment including a light on the front of their bike a rear reflector. Each rider will receive a glow-in-the dark bad after passing inspection.
Event costs: $25 until July 31st, $30 per person as of August 1 until the ride. Children 10-15 years of age can ride for free if accompanied by a paying adult and a canned good for Horizons Soup Kitchen. Anyone under the age of 10 is unable to participate due to safety precautions.
Riders will be crossing both bridges and will be using the left lane on both Memorial and Bayview Bridges in Quincy. 4-mile route starting at Clat Adams Park, crossing the bridges and back to Clat Adams Park.
11-mile route, a continuation of the four mile ride down Maine St. with a turn around at Flinn Stadium and back to Clat Adams Park.
19 mile route, a continuation of the 11 mile ride on to 54th St. to Columbus Road, to Koch’s Lane, to Bob Mays Park back to Clat Adams park.
Routes will be marked and maps will be distributed.
