The Rotary Club of Quincy’s 7th Annual Oktoberfest is going to be held on Saturday, October 12, from noon to 10 p.m. at the Dick Brother’s Brewery Complex between 9th and 10th on York Street in Quincy. Admission is free but food, beverages and festival events will be for sale from noon until 10 p.m. All proceeds from the event will benefit the community projects that The Rotary Club of Quincy supports like; scholarships to students pursuing career and technical programs, literacy projects in Quincy schools, and capital projects throughout Quincy.
Food includes German fare; bratwurst, kraut, German potato salad, baked pretzels, hot dogs and hamburgers. Beverages include; fall domestic and import beers, water, and soda.
Dick Brother’s Brewery and Tunnel Tours presented by Quincy Brewery Arts and International Eyecare: Go underground into the brewery tunnels from noon until 8 p.m. Tours are available with online payment of $10/adult and $5/child. Tours can sell out but may also be purchased the day of the event if available.
Craft Brew Tasting will be featured in the new Rathskeller Underground Bar for $15 per person from 4 to 7 p.m. sponsored by HOMEBANK.
The 5th Annual 0.2k Beer and Brat Dash sponsored by Coors Light: For adventurous participants who wish to consume a cup of beer and a brat while running or walking 0.2 kilometers at the event site. Cost for the event, including the beer (or Pepsi product), brat, and 0.2k sticker is $12. Heats will take place at 3 p.m. 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. and Reservations can be made online.
Live entertainment by Heidelberg German Band (12:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.) and The Uber Cool Band (5 p.m. to 9 p.m.) will entertain audiences.
Guests may also park in the city lot at 8th and Jersey or nearby streets.
