This annual gathering has become a meaningful event for sharing untold and little known stories of the histories of Hancock and Lee counties. It covers the full legacy of Nauvoo’s rich history including: Native American peoples, the Latter-day Saint saga, the utopian Icarian movement, the German immigrants, the Sisters of St. Benedict ministry, and Nauvoo rebirth as a point of heritage tourism for all the above. The 2016 Untold Nauvoo Stories Symposium will be held February 5 – 6, 2016. For more information contact the Nauvoo Tourism Office at 217-453-6648.
