Ferris wheels, cotton candy, demolition derbies, fresh lemon shake-ups… some good old-fashioned entertainment & refreshment during the lazy days of summer are surefire family pleasers at the annual Adams County Fair.

You may want to let the kids unleash some energy climbing some walls themselves, slipping down the wild water slide at the Kroc Center, or romping through four levels of interactive adventure zone at Going Bonker’s (shhhh…there’s a quiet room for adults to enjoy a beverage or snack while you keep an eye on your little ones). The Kroc has a kinetic game room, and Bonker’s has a full upper arcade.

Scottie’s Fun Spot is an excellent destination for children, teens, and adults to interact no matter the season… black light space-themed laser tag, bumper cars, ballocity, roller skating, go-karts, and a new outdoor ice skating rink. On the grounds are the tracks of Quincy Raceways, home of the Sunday Night Races, April through early October.

The Quincy Park District offers fun summertime activities of mini & frisbee golf, batting cages, paddle boating, swimming & water slides… & a free splash fountain in historic Washington Park, at 5th & Maine.
