History Snapshot:

The Quincy Regional Aiport terminal was built in 1972 in a futuristic style, designed by local architect, John Benya. The project was a definite coup in Benya’s portfolio, a circle of many circles– on a split three-level plan. The exterior walls are entirely of brown-toned, half-circle windows separated by upward-curving sections of a striking green masonry. At the dedication, Benya said he “wanted to give the people of Quincy a building concept that the world has never seen before… also a building that would feel new, pleasant forever.”
