Built in 1900, the Mediterranean castle built on the Mississippi bluffs features a Mosque of Thais minaret & interior courtyard replica with marble mosaic reflecting pool & balcony. The castle was built for an eccentric millionaire, George, and his 200 lb pooch, Bingo. Open for tours; avail to rent. Now home to Quincy’s Tourist Info Center, Quincy Area CVB, and the Great River Road Interpretive Center. The 1900 Mediterranean villa is a prime viewing spot where eagles migrate in the surrounding trees annually.
