Seasonal Inspirations

Strolls > Fall is a magnificent season in Quincy. Grab a sweater and meander The Maine Street Mile. Our most notable thoroughfare is saturated in mood lifting hues:) We affectionately call it the Smile Mile.
Cozy Itineraries > Prost! Our newest itinerary cheers all things German in our fair city, featuring six spots sure to fire you up. Tasty treats from morning to night. Begin with a Butter Streusel Danish from Quincy's oldest bakery, grab a Braunschweiger Sandwich from a beloved 1948 corner deli, and end with a warming nightcap at The Ratskeller -- an underground German bar in the historic Dick Brothers Brewery Complex. Peruse PROST! Itinerary here.
Featured Recipe > Hummingbird Cake {a close cousin of Italian Cream Cake}, is a Quincy Service League classic. The nonprofit volunteer organization was formed in 1938, providing generous community support along with a Holiday Gift Show, where this heavenly cake makes its appearance annually (2022 show: Nov 19-20). Enjoy!
